Am I right about the major flaw in the argument that 'we' are simply 'brain activity' & nothing more than this?

I see consciousness like the blades of a fan. While spinning it creates the perception of a continuous solid disc, its motion creates blades where there is no blade. The brain activity is the same effect, our perception in continuous interaction with 'reality' seems to be also continuous, when are actually a defined set of reactions onside our brains. We are just too slow to perceive the discontinuity of the 'blades'.
