Why doesn't the college take us seriously?

There should be different lighting systems in the classroom, which illuminate the student section while dimming the professor's section so the whiteboard shows up better. Next time you leave class, flip the various light switches to see if you can come up a schematic that works. If not, discuss this with your professor first -- do not go over their head to dean or whatever. Let them do that.
