Why do some Christians go to church so often?

like 3 or 4 times per week. and Why do SOME try to "recruit" others into their church. No offense to anyone, I just know some people who want me to go to their church even though I am Catholic. I don't like the fact that SOME, not these particular people, try to recruit me , like come to my door saturday mornings and try to force me to read their pamphlets and force their way into my home to teach me about the Bible. Catholic people I grew up with and the church I go to does not do any of the above. Opinions/ideas please!
